What are the production methods of stainless steel pipes? There are many kinds of pipes, and their production methods are also varied.
The commonly used production methods are as follows:
(1) Hot pressing method to produce stainless steel pipes. There are many methods to produce hot-rolled seamless pipes. The tube billets used for hot-rolled pipes are hollow billets, solid billets or ingots. In hot rolling production, perforation is to pass the heated stainless steel tube billet through the thick-walled pipe on the perforator, and the thick-walled pipe is rolled on the rolling mill to the wall thickness and precision required for the finished pipe, and then sizing, reducing or expanding the diameter, and finally cooling and finishing. Hot pressure processing method mainly uses rolling method to produce stainless steel pipes, but extrusion method is used to produce non-ferrous metals, rare metals that are difficult to deform, precious metals and special-purpose special-shaped cross-section pipes.
(2) Cold pressure processing method to produce stainless steel pipes. Cold pressure processing method to produce stainless steel pipes mainly refers to cold rolling and cold drawing pipes, and also includes the production of thin-walled, large and special-shaped cross-section pipes and rotating body parts by spinning method.
(3) Welded pipe production The production method of stainless steel welded pipe is to bend the billet (steel plate, strip) into the necessary tube shape by different forming methods, and weld it into a tube by different welding methods.
The above is a summary of the production methods of stainless steel pipes.
